SENIOR LIVING FOR MIDDLE-INCOME OLDER ADULTS IN NEWTON, MA

A practical plan for a future within reach.

When we set out to develop Opus, we had two key goals in mind. First, to offer an option for older adults in the middle market to enjoy a sense of security and broader possibilities for the future. Second, to do it with a laser-sharp focus on affordability. Opus Newton’s innovative model does both.

To become a resident at Opus Newton, you’ll pay a partially refundable Community Share before moving in, and a monthly fee. Both are based on the specific floor plan you choose and whether one or two people will occupy your apartment. Community Shares start in the low $400,000s.

Opus Newton offers ten one- and two-bedroom floor plans, giving you the ability to choose an apartment and pricing that fit your specific needs and preferences.

I’m looking forward to being [part of a] community where there are people with a variety of life stories. Learning about them will be great fun.”

Innovating to give you more value for less money.

The Opus model incorporates a number of innovative ideas to create a supportive senior living community that’s affordable for older adults in the middle-income market. By examining traditional expense areas, unbundling services, and bringing care to residents rather than moving residents to care, we’re able to deliver on the promise of aging in community while keeping costs reasonable. Another innovative element of the Opus model is the use of resident volunteers who will work in tandem with Opus staff to expand the many opportunities and options available to those who live at Opus, as well as to ensure authentic connection. We also develop partnerships with other trusted organizations to provide dining services, amenities, and healthcare services. Our location connected to 2Life’s Coleman House further helps reduce labor costs through efficient utilization of staffing resources. To learn more, read the case study published by NIC.
