A focus on wellness. A secure plan for the future.
At Opus Newton, our focus is on wellness and empowering you to make choices that support your total well-being. When you do have healthcare needs, you’ll find a convenient, on-site primary care practice as well as a Care Navigator who can help you arrange for any in-home care you may need.

Support for your total well-being.
At Opus Newton, you’ll have an important partner in your health and wellness journey — your Care Navigator. Our Care Navigation team will include a registered nurse (RN) and a licensed social worker. This team will get to know you, your wellness goals and your needs so they can support you in achieving or maintaining your best health.
When you first move to Opus, your Care Navigator will meet with you to create a personal wellness plan, which will be updated annually. Because they will be familiar with you, your goals and needs, your Care Navigator will be a proactive resource for planning and accessing any services you may need. Whether you’re not feeling well, need rehab after an illness, injury or surgery, or need short-term or long-term health care, they’ll be by your side to help you identify the right resources and ensure you receive the care you need from our trusted partners.

Care where you most want to be.
Our goal is to coordinate personalized health care so you can remain in your apartment for life. Rather than moving you to care as is usually done in a traditional retirement community, at Opus Newton, the care will come to you. Working with you, your family and physician, the Care Navigator will assist in coordinating in-home care to meet your needs. In fact, there are very few situations that would require you to leave Opus to get the care you need. What’s more, through our partnerships with best-in-class providers, you’ll be able to get exactly the amount of care you need without having to pay minimums. This will help your funds last longer.
Should an emergency situation arise, Opus staff will respond 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
A supportive, engaging environment.
Opus Newton will offer a social day program for those residents who would benefit from structured and guided daily activities. This can be especially helpful for couples when one member needs more hands-on attention and care throughout the day — such as may be the case for someone experiencing physical or cognitive limitations.
